The Christmas Tree

Christmas is a beautiful time of year, our hearts are full and our homes are decorated from top to bottom with lights, garlands, peppermint sticks and grandma's antique ornaments. But have you ever thought about the cost of all this grander if you were starting from scratch?

An artificial tree can cost $799 for one of those new ones that have realistic pine needles on the ends... Don't get me wrong! They are pretty cool... However,  the cool new needles are usually only on the outer most limb and the old common old fashioned kind are everywhere else... I would have liked the new needles all over... Especially for that price... But it is pre-lit so that is good.

To cover the tree with ornaments, it cost about $350  for a number of soft plushie woodland creatures, bronze bells, burlap ribbon  and a beaded garland... Too cute and kid friendly

And then of course, the presents! Wrapping them in paper to match the tree is a lot of fun, however many of the super cute wrapping papers can cost  $5 to $10 dollars a roll... In the end, we just Put the last few gifts under the tree unwrapped... Don't judge...
